With over 40 years of experience, Stephen is a highly respected figure in the construction industry, known for his technical expertise, strategic leadership, and hands-on approach. His career has spanned Tier 1 contractors, specialist trade contractors, client-side consultancy, and private development, giving him an exceptional breadth of knowledge across the sector.
Holding ONC, HNC, and CIOB accreditations, Stephen has worked on some of the UK’s most complex and high-profile projects, including the Bodleian Libraries at Oxford University, Birmingham New Street railway station, and Southampton district hospital. His experience extends across heritage, education, healthcare, retail, industrial, and major infrastructure projects, where he has successfully led teams, managed costs, and ensured seamless project delivery.
A specialist in heritage and conservation, Stephen is passionate about preserving historic buildings with the care and craftsmanship they deserve. James Baker – Director

James brings a strong background in development and construction, combining hands-on industry experience with technical expertise. Having worked in the development sector as a Development Manager for a national consultancy, as well as in private development consultancy, he has an in-depth understanding of land, planning, and the full development cycle.
His expertise is reinforced by a diploma in surveying and ongoing postgraduate studies, as he pursues a master’s degree in real estate. This academic foundation, combined with practical experience, gives him a well-rounded perspective on development strategy, site viability, and investment risk management.
Alongside his consultancy work, James also runs a highly respected heritage construction firm, specialising in traditional materials and conservation-led building techniques. His passion for historic buildings is reflected in his active involvement with leading conservation organisations, including SPAB and other key heritage groups.
With a unique blend of development insight, construction knowledge, and heritage expertise, James provides pragmatic, commercially driven advice to clients, ensuring projects are both financially viable and sensitive to their built environment. Holding a bachelor’s degree in Commercial Management and a master’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Gary combines academic expertise with real-world industry knowledge. As a chartered member of the CIOB, he upholds the highest professional standards, ensuring that projects are delivered with financial control, efficiency, and transparency.
His experience covers a broad range of construction sectors, allowing him to navigate complex contracts, risk management, and value engineering with confidence. Storm Kirkham – Office Manager
Storm brings energy, efficiency, and a sharp eye for organisation to the team, ensuring the smooth running of operations on a daily basis. With a bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, she transitioned into the construction industry, gaining valuable experience in project coordination while working in Dubai before joining us.
Now based in the UK, she is further strengthening her expertise by studying Project Management with the CIOB Academy, bringing structured processes and a proactive approach to every task. Whether managing schedules, streamlining workflows, or keeping projects on track, her strong organisational skills and attention to detail make her an invaluable part of the team.
